2010 Cowboy Joe Club Golf Series Schedule
The Cowboy Joe Club has announced that Ford Motor Company and Your Wyoming Ford Stores have agreed to become the official title sponsor of the 15th Annual Cowboy Joe Club Golf Series. Ford Motor Company takes over the title sponsorship for the first time in 2010, which features 18 tournaments held throughout Wyoming, Colorado and Arizona. A special thanks goes to Cowboy Joe Club Board of Director and Torrington's Big Sky Ford owner Martin Gubbels for helping to make this partnership between the Cowboy Joe Club and Ford Motor Company possible. The 15th Annual Cowboy Joe Golf Series presented by Ford kicked off Friday, February 13th in sunny Scottsdale, Arizona at Talking Stick Golf Club. With more than 90 participants, the Arizona tournament raised more than $11,000 for student-athletes at the University of Wyoming. After a couple month reprieve, the Cowboy Joe Golf Series will head to 15 different communities in Wyoming, beginning May 7th in Riverton and ending June 26th in Casper. The 15th Annual Golf Series presented by Ford will also feature two tournaments in Colorado, May 17th in Denver and June 14th in Ft. Collins. The 2010 series, which is open to the public, male or female and to golfers of all abilities, will feature Wyoming coaches and staff, lunch, Nike Golf entry gift, and prizes. Entry fees range from $100 per person to $250 per person, depending on each individual tournament. A four-person scramble format will be used at each tournament, and the winning foursome will be invited to play in the 2010 Golf Series Championship, Friday September 3, 2010 in Laramie. The 2010 Golf Series Championship team will receive an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas and $1,000 cash courtesy of Your Wyoming Ford Stores. While Ford Motor Company has become the exclusive title sponsor of this year's golf series, the Cowboy Joe Club also announced that Nike Golf will become an official sponsor of this year's series as well. All tournaments will feature Nike Golf apparel and Nike Golf equipment. Local presenting tournament sponsorships, and hole sponsorships are still available, and they are a great opportunity for you and your business to show your support of Wyoming Athletics. Sponsorships range from $100 to $2,500 and may feature hole signage, newspaper advertising, radio advertising, complimentary entry fees and gifts. All proceeds from the 2010 Cowboy Joe Golf Series presented by Ford go directly to the scholarship and educational costs for more than 400 University of Wyoming student-athletes.
