CJC and UW Alumni Association Pre-Game Hospitalities Planned for the 2010 MWC Basketball Tournament

LARAMIE, Wyo. -

The University of Wyoming Cowboy Joe Club and the UW Alumni Association will co-host pre-game hospitalities each day the Wyoming men's and women's basketball teams play a game in the 2010 Mountain West Conference Basketball Tournament. The ESPN Zone at the New York New York Hotel and Casino will be the official pre-game location for Wyoming Fans to gather.

The New York New York is located at the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue just 2 miles from the Thomas & Mack Center, the site for the 2010 MWC Basketball Tournament.

The ESPN Zone will serve great food and offer a cash bar to Wyoming fans. The hospitalities will begin 2 1/2 hours before tip-off and last until 1/2 hour prior to each game.

The projected schedule for the pre-game receptions follows and of course is dependent on whether the Cowboys or Cowgirls advance to each round of the Tournament. The two guaranteed receptions will be Tuesday, March 9 prior to the Cowgirls' first round game and on Wednesday, March 10 prior to the Cowboys' first round game.

  • Tuesday, March 9 (No men's games played on Tuesday)
    Women's Basketball Pre-Game Reception 4:30-6:30 p.m. at ESPN Zone at New York New York Hotel and Casino. Cowgirls will play at 7 p.m.

  • Wednesday, March 10
    Men's Basketball Pre-Game Reception 11:30 a.m.-1:30 pm at ESPN Zone at New York New York Hotel and Casino. Cowboys will play at 2 p.m.
    Women's Basketball Pre-Game Reception 4:30-6:30 pm at ESPN Zone at New York New York Hotel and Casino. Cowgirls will play at 7 p.m. (If the Cowgirls win their first round game on Tuesday, March 9).

  • Thursday, March 11 (No women's games played on Thursday)
    Men's Basketball Pre-Game Reception 9:30-11:30 a.m. at ESPN Zone at New York New York Hotel and Casino. Cowboys will play at Noon (If the Cowboys win their first round game on Wednesday, March 10).

  • Friday, March 12 (Only one reception will be held on Friday if the Cowboys, Cowgirls or both are still playing)
    Women's Basketball Pre-Game Reception Noon-2 p.m. at ESPN Zone at New York New York Hotel and Casino.
    Men's Basketball Pre-Game Reception 3:30-5:30 p.m. at ESPN Zone at New York New York Hotel and Casino.
    Cowgirls will play at 2:30 p.m. (If the Cowgirls win their second round game on Wednesday, March 10)
    Cowboys will play at 6 p.m. (If the Cowboys win their second round game on Thursday, March 11)

  • Saturday, March 13 (Only one reception will be held on Saturday if the Cowboys, Cowgirls or both are still playing)
    Women's Basketball Pre-Game Reception 10:30 a.m.-12:30p.m. at ESPN Zone at New York New York Hotel and Casino.
    Men's Basketball Pre-Game Reception 1:30-3:30p.m. at ESPN Zone at New York New York Hotel and Casino.
    Cowgirls will play at 1 p.m. (If the Cowgirls win their semifinal game on Friday, March 12)
    Cowboys will play at 4 p.m. (If the Cowboys win their semifinal game on Friday, March 12)
