The start of the 2011-2012 academic year is also the start of Jessica Kumke's fourth year with the athletics department. She started her career at Wyoming in September, 2008, as the Compliance Assistant. She was promoted to Director of Compliance this past July. She oversees NCAA and Mountain West Conference compliance for all 17 sports. This includes monitoring recruiting activities for all coaches and staff, certifying eligibility for all student-athletes and educating student-athletes, coaches, staff, faculty and boosters about NCAA rules. Kumke received her law degree from Marquette University Law School in May, 2008, along with a Sports Law Certification from the National Sports Law Institute. Prior to attending Marquette, Kumke received her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2005. Kumke grew up in Nebraska and her parents, brother and sisters-in-law still live in Nebraska. |
