Arena-Auditorium

With an elevation of 7,220 feet, the Wyoming basketball teams have always enjoyed playing on the "Highest Courts" in the nation. Built in 1982 at a cost of $15 million, the Arena-Auditorium is one of the most beautiful basketball arenas in America.

Tabbed the "Dome of Doom" by Wyoming opponents, the Arena-Auditorium is visible from a great distance on the High Plains. The Double A, which opened February 20, 1982, seats over 15,000 screaming fans and was erected essentially for Wyoming basketball games. This fabulous facility served as host of the 1986 and 1991 Western Athletic Conference Basketball Championship Tournaments.
