High School: Carlson was an excellent swimmer, proving to be one of the fastest in her high school. She was selected 5A All-State in the state of Texas all four years of high school. She was named six-time All-America. Carlson was team captain of her high school team her junior and senior years. She held almost every record at Claudia Taylor Johnson High School, and was the first member of her high school team to compete at a state event. In the classroom she was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated with honors. Personal: She was born on Sept. 25, 1991 in San Antonio, Texas. She is the daughter of Birgit and David Carlson. Carlson has three siblings, Erik, Nikolas and her twin Christian. She is majoring in family and consumer sciences.
