High School: Dowd joins the Cowboys after an excellent high school career. He earned three swimming letters while being named team captain his junior and senior seasons. He was a state champion in the 200 free relay and the 100 free (45.75). He also recorded runner-up finishes at state in the 400 freestyle relay and 50 free (20.94). Dowd was honored as the overall athlete of the year his junior and senior years. Dowd still holds his high school records in the 50 free (20.93), the 100 free (45.75) and the 200 and 400 freestyle relays. He was an outstanding student. While at Red Mountain High School, he was academic honor roll and is a part of the NJHS. Personal: Dowd was born in Mesa, Ariz., on June 19, 1993.
