Wyoming Swimming And Diving Prepares For Annual Brown And Gold Dual

Event will mark the beginning of the 2011-12 swimming and diving season.

Freshman: (2010-11)- Fay had a productive freshman season for the Cowgirls recording four top-five finishes on the diving boards. Against Northern Colorado she placed second on the 1-meter springboard with a mark of 258.75. She also placed fourth on the 3-meter against UNC. Her other top-five finishes came against Air Force when she placed third on both the 1-and 3-meter with marks of 252.90 and 218.85, respectively. Fay had an excellent year in the classroom earning Academic All-Mountain West and MW Scholar-Athlete awards. She earned her first Cowgirl letter award.

High School: Fay had an excellent high school career, as she was named an All-State diver her sophomore, junior and senior years, as well as All-Conference her junior and senior years. She was a member of the three-time team state champions in 3A. She was named team captain her senior year and was given the most inspirational athlete award. In the classroom, she was a member of National Honor Society and was named student representative for NHS.

Personal: She was born Nov. 8, 1991 in Long Beach, Calif. She is the daughter of Jeff Fay and Linda Hanlon, and has one brother Davis Fay. She plans to major in secondary education and math at UW.
