Sophomore: Flachbarth helped the Cowgirls in Freestyle competitions and in the backstrokes in her first year at UW. As a freshman she took part in 10 meets. At the Husky Invitational Flachbarth added her best times in the 100, 200, and 500 Free as well as the 100 and 200 Backstroke. She was also awarded Academic All-Conference. High School: Flachbarth was a Georgia state finalist in the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke. Her personal best time in the 200 backstroke would already rank her in the top-ten all-time at Wyoming. She had a great USA Swimming sectional meet in the spring of 2007 and had significant time improvements in the 200 freestyle and both backstroke events. As a freshman, she helped lead Brookwood High School to the Georgia 5A State Championship. She was a swimming letterwinner all four year of high school. Personal: She was born on Nov. 16, 1988 in Snellville, Ga. She is the daughter of Lisa and Martin and has an older brother, Justin, and older sister, Melodee. She is majoring in Nursing.
