He placed 12th at conference in the 50 and 100 free with times of 20.82 and 45.43, respectively. Frey's 50 free sits as the fifth all-time fastest time for the Cowboys and his 100 free is sixth. He played a very key role in the Cowboys 200 medley relay team placing fourth at the MW Championships. Frey not only had an excellent conference championship meet in the 50 free, he also recorded three first-place finishes in that event during the regular season. Frey also took home a first-place finish in the 200 free against Utah. He earned his first letter as a Cowboy. High School: Frey had an impressive high school career being named his school's Most Valuable Swimmer all four years of high school. His senior year he was named captain of his swim team, and he set the Region III record in the 50 freestyle with a time of 21.13. In the classroom, Frey was named a scholastic All-American his junior and senior years. Personal: Frey was born Aug. 8, 1992 in Palmer, Alaska, and is the son of Douglas and Carolyn Frey.
