At Wyoming:
Junior- Jones continued to improve as a Cowboy during his junior season. He reached the finals of the 2006 MWC Championships in three separate events. He swam to a seventh place finish in the 200 IM and an eighth place finish in both the 400 IM and 200 breaststroke. He earned Academic All-MWC honors for the third consecutive season. He earned his third letter award.
Sophomore- Jones finished 11th in the 200 yard breaststroke, 12th in the 400 IM and 14th in the 200 IM at the 2005 MWC Championships. That summer, he competed in the 2005 Santa Clara Invite where he placed 26th in the 100-meter breaststroke and 18th in the 200-meter breaststroke against the nations top swimmers. He earned his second Academic All-MWC selection and his second letter winner at Wyoming.
Freshman- He placed 13th in the 400 IM, 15th in the 200 breaststroke and 18th in the 100 breaststroke at the 2004 MWC Championships. High School: He was an All-American in the 200 IM as well as the 400 freestyle relay. He is a former school record holder in the 200 IM and was a four year letterwinner in swimming.
Personal: Born October 15, 1984 in Loveland, Colo. He is the son of Steve Jones and Linda Washecka. His younger sister, Krista, is a sophomore on the Cowgirl swim team. He is majoring in business administration.
Top Times: 100 breast- 59.71; 200 breast- 2:03.88; 200 IM- 1:51.93.
