At Wyoming: Junior- King continued to excel for the Cowboys during his junior year. His season was highlighted by earning First Team All-MWC honors in the 200 IM by placing sixth at the 2007 MWC Championships. He also swam to a seventh place finish in the 400 IM. He continued to excel academically and was named Academic All-Conference for the third consecutive season. He earned his third letter award. Sophomore- King had another great year in the water for the Cowboys. He placed in the top-10 of both individual medley events at the 2006 MWC Championships. He swam to a sixth place finish in the 400 and a 10th place finish in the 200. He also placed 13th in the 200 backstroke and swam on the 400 freestyle relay team at conference. He was named Academic All-MWC for the second consecutive season. He earned his second letter award. Freshman- King placed fifth in the 400 IM, 10th in the 200 IM and 12th in the 200 backstroke at the 2005 MWC Championships. He was named Second Team All-MWC in the 400 IM. He earned his first letter award.

High School: He was the Montana state record holder in the 200 IM. He was an All-State selection all four years of high school and was a state champion in the 500 freestyle and 200 IM. He was an All-American in the 200 IM. He was the Sentinel school record holder in the 500 freestyle, 100 breaststroke and 200 IM. He was a team captain as a junior and senior and a four-year letterwinner. He was a USA Swimming Academic All-American, a four-time honor roll member and a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Born June 5, 1985 in Missoula, Mont. He is one of three children of Shannon and Martin King. He is majoring in political science.

Top Times at UW: 200 IM- 1:51.93; 400 IM- 3:58.55; 200 back- 1:52.24.
