The Cowgirls sign eight and the Cowboys sign seven.

High School: McDonough joins the Cowgirls from Frisco High School in Frisco, Texas. She also swam for Frisco Aquatic Club. She earned letter awards all four years of high school in swimming. McDonough was named All-State in 2010 and 2011. Also during the 2010-11 seasons she helped her 200 medley relay team to a state record time of 1:48.00. She set team and pool records in the 200 medley relay, 50 freestyle, 100 free, 200 free relay, 400 free relay and 100 backstroke. She was also a NISCA High School All-American in the 50 free.

Personal: McDonough was born on Aug. 27, 1993 in Victorville, Calif. She is the daughter of Daniel and Diana both of whom swam at the University of Southern California. She has an older sister, Danielle, and a younger sister, April. She has not declared a major at UW.
