At Wyoming:
Sophomore- Murdock continued his success on the diving boards for the Cowboys as a sophomore. At the 2009 MWC Championships, Murdock placed second on platform, third in three-meter, and eighth on one-meter. Murdock broke the school record in the preliminary round on platform dive with a score of 346.45 and set the third best score in school history on three-meter. He qualified for the NCAA Zone "E" Championships and placed eighth on platform, 10th on three-meter, and 19th on one-meter. Murdock continued to dive over the summer at the national level. In the final round of the U.S. Senior Nationals, Murdock placed 12th on platform and pre-qualified for the next years competition. Along with his second letter award, Murdock earned Academic All-Conference for the first time in his career.
Freshman- Murdock played a huge role in Wyoming having the most diving points at the 2008 MWC Championships. He won second place in the three-meter, fourth in the platform, and fifth in the one-meter. Murdock took part in the NCAA Zone "E" Championships, placing 15th in the three-meter, and 21st in one-meter dives. Murdock led the way for the Cowboys with a 14th place finish on platform.

High School: Murdock is both an accomplished diver and gymnast and competed in the US National gymnastics meet in the spring of 2007. In the pool, he was a district champion and the district diver of the year as a junior and senior. He was also a region champion as a senior and placed third at regionals as a junior. He received an NISCA All-America Award and was a TISCA All-State diver as a junior. He was the Marcus High School most valuable diver all four years of his career. He placed third at the district meet as a freshman and sophomore. He was a member of the National Art Honor Society. He dove club for Grapevine Colleyville.

Personal: He was born on June 7, 1989 in Grapevine, Texas. He is the son of Julie and Rob and has two brothers, Michael and Matthew. He is undecided on a college major.

Top Marks at UW: one meter (6 dives)-320.55; three meter (6 dives)-360.97; platform (5 dives)- 346.45.
