Sophomore: (2010-11)- Swanson again saw limited action in the pool for the Cowgirls during her sophomore season. She was a key squad member that kept the competition tough for the swimmers in front of her. She competed well for the Cowgirls at the Denver Invite in February. She swam the eighth-fastest time of the season in the 50 freestyle at the DU Invite with a time of 24.97. Also at the DU Invite she swam the eighth-fastest Cowgirl time of the season in the 100 butterfly.

Freshman: (2009-10)- Swanson saw limited action in her freshman year as a Cowgirl, but was able to record two personal-best times at the University of Northern Colorado dual.

High School: Swanson was the team captain her senior year at Falcon High School. She qualified for state in four events her senior year and holds six district records in the 200 medley relay, 50 freestyle, 100 butterfly, 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay. Swanson also was a coach and swim instructor for the Rampart Summer Swim Club. She also participated in all the meets. Along with lettering in swimming, Swanson also participated in track and cross country.

Personal: She was born on Nov. 26, 1990 in Tomball, Texas. She is the daughter of Karen and Eric Swanson and has two siblings, Sam and Siina. She is majoring in animal and veterinary sciences at UW.
