Wyoming Swimming Dominates Day, While Divers Conclude At The AFA Diving Invite

The Wyoming swimming teams defeated Colorado School of Mines and Northern Colorado.

South Dakota State: Young had an excellent first year of swimming at SDSU placing fifth in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes at the 2011 Summit League Championships and she also placed 14th in the 200 individual medley.

High School: Young was her high school team captain and the team's MVP at John Pittman High School and was the conference champion in the 200 IM, 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke. She is a four-time NISCA Scholar-Athlete as well as a USA Swimming Academic All-America athlete in high school.

Personal: Young was born on April 7, 1992 in Sacramento, Calif. She is the daughter of Roger and Emy. She is the sister of former UW swimmer Lesley Young. She plans to major in kinesiology and health promotion while at UW.
