Swimming & Diving Academic All-MWC Honorees Announced

LARAMIE, Wyo. -

The Mountain West Conference has announced its Academic All-Mountain West Conference honors for the sports of men's and women's swimming & diving. To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have completed one academic term at the member institution, maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and be a starter or significant contributor.

Forty-eight male and eighty-eight female student-athletes qualify for the academic all-conference team in the sport of swimming & diving. On the men's side, Air Force leads the way with 14 honorees and BYU follows closely with 12. The University of Utah received nine men's selections, UNLV notched eight and the University of Wyoming five. On the women's side, BYU and Wyoming tied for the lead with 16 student-athletes each. Colorado State followed with 13 female selections, New Mexico and Utah tallied 11 each, UNLV totaled nine female honorees, Air Force had eight and San Diego State notched four.
