LARAMIE, Wyo. -

University of Wyoming head swimming and diving coach Tom Johnson announced today the signing of Lauren Colaric to attend the University of Wyoming in the fall of 2000. Here is the signee:

Colaric, from Grand Junction, Colo., comes to Wyoming after spending a year at Auburn University. While at Auburn, she ranked second for six dives on both the one and three-meter springboard events. In 1998, she was awarded the Colorado Female Diver of the year, and was the US Diving Regional Champion in both `97 and `98. Colaric also holds two school records. She coached in high school by Chuck Edgar. An outstanding student, she was a member of the National Honor Society, and a Science and Math Award winner. Lauren is the daughter of Doug Colaric and Mary Jo Roth.

"Lauren is a very talented young diver, and I'm excited to work with her," said Wyoming diving coach Jason Baumann. "Her experience in the very competitive SEC will be a huge asset to her and our program. She is very driven both athletically and academically, and we expect her to have a very successful career here at Wyoming."
