2007-08... Amanda finished her first season of competing in the 20lb weight throw and hammer throw, ranked 18th and 20th respectively All-Time in UW history as a true freshman. She finished tenth in the weight throw and 11th in the hammer throw and at the MWC Championships, just missing the finals in both. As a freshman she was ranked second in the conference in both the hammer throw and weight throw and fourth in the discus. High School... Was the 3A Wyoming State Champion in the discus throw and runner-up in the shot put. She showed her versatility by finishing fourth in the 300m hurdles at State in 2007 and third in the 200m sprint in 2006. Amanda will be competing in the 20lb weight and hammer throws this upcoming season. Personal... She was born July 6th, 1989 in Kemmerer, Wyo. She is the daughter of Joe and Barbara and has one older brother, Michael. Her major is secondary education and plans to be a High School teacher when she completes school.
