2009-10... Brandon had a very successful freshman season as a pole vaulter and a hurdler for the 'Pokes. The crowning achievement was setting the UW all-time indoor record in the 60-meter hurdles. His time of 8.26 seconds eclipsed the old mark of 8.30, shared by Seth Billy and Jason Medearis. Brandon also had the top mark (15 feet, 1 inch) in pole vault in outdoor track and was the team's top 55-meter hurdle performer. He won two meets in the 55 hurdles, taking first in the Wyoming Power Meet (7.74 seconds) and in the Robert Shine meet (7.62). He also finished second in the pole vault in the Power Meet, with a leap of 14-6. He finished eighth in the long jump at the MWC Championships (22-7) and fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.29. The UW coaching staff will count on him for some firepower in both indoor and outdoor track.

High School... Brandon came to UW from Kelly Walsh High School. While there, he competed in the hurdles, jumps and pole vault. During his junior season, he earned the state championship in the 110-meter hurdles as well as the indoor 55-meter hurdles. He finished second in pole vault at the state meet twice, hitting a high mark of 15 feet.
