Freshman thrower caps off great weekend

2010-11... Gardner did not compete last season and will make her return to the track this fall.

2009-10... Gardner brought her talents in the 400- and 400-meter hurdles to Wyoming and showed what she could do right off the bat. She had the best mark in the hurdles, running to a time of 1:00.72, tops for Wyoming. She also was second in the 400 dash, just three seconds behind the team leader at 57.18.

High School... Gardner was a three-year letter winner in volleyball and track and field while lettering all-four years in basketball at Sheridan High School. During her basketball career, her team won the state championship in `07, and she was named to the All-Conference team three times. While participating in track and field, she was All-State in `09 in three different events, the 100- and 300-meter hurdles and the 400-meter dash. Academically, she was on the Presidential Honor Roll for three years, as well as the National Honor Society for two.

Personal... Gardner was born in Laramie, Wyo., to her parents Paula and Ted Gardner. She was involved with the Natural Helpers and Adaptive P.E. Services before enrolling at Wyoming.
