2010-11... Gifford finished in the top 10 in his events on four occasions during the indoor season. Gifford set three personal records during the outdoor season along with three top-10 finishes. Gifford should continue to be a strong competitor in distance races for the Cowboys this season. Gifford was an Academic All-Conference pick, along with a Scholar-Athlete award recipient.

2009-10... Gifford, who has earned a letter, showed his ability early on in the Wyoming Cross Country Invitational, nabbing 23rd in the event with a time of 23:36. He also finished 40th in the MWC Championships, finishing in 27:22. He was named to the Academic All-MWC team for his work in the classroom.

High School... Gifford was a four-year letterman in football, wrestling, and track and field. In track and field, he was the State Champion in the 3,200-meter run his senior year while during his wrestling career he was a state champion twice and currently holds the state record in career wins and career pins. He also was the student council president, the National Honor Society president and had a 4.0 GPA throughout high school.

Personal... Gifford was born in Scottsbluff, Neb., to Kari and Bill Gifford. He plans to study physiology, and eventually become a medical doctor.
