Howe began his collegiate career at UW. He earned All-America honors twice in 2001-02 in the triple jump. He currently owns Wyoming and MWC records in both the indoor and outdoor triple jumps with marks of 54-9 1/4 and 54-4 3/4, respectively.

Howe was inducted into the University of Wyoming Athletics Hall of Fame for his accomplishments. He was selected into the class of 2009 with fellow track athlete Jesseca Cross, a thrower in the late 90s. For his accomplishments in the MWC, Howe was selected to the prestigious 10th Anniversary Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field team in 2009. Voting was done by a combination of media, institutional and conference personnel and online fan poll.

In 2002, he competed in the NACAC games, placing third, and the Commonwealth Games, where he placed ninth, representing his native country of Trinidad & Tobago. He also was a 2003 Pan-Am Games team selection.

Howe received his bachelor's degree in bioelectrical engineering from UW in 2003, and a Master's degree in biomechanics in 2010. He is a USATF Level I and Level II (jumps) certified coach.
