05/16/2009 2009 MWC Outdoor Track and Field Championships - Day FourImages from Day Four of the MWC Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Laramie, May 16 2008-09... Johnna had a very successful junior campaign with her third-place finish at the outdoor Mountain West Conference Championships in the High Jump, earning her All-Conference honors. She also qualified for the NCAA Midwest Regional meet for the first time in her career. She currently owns the second best High Jump in Cowgirl history. In the class room Johnna was named to the academic All-Conference team. 2007-08... She was a letter-winner during the outdoor season as she placed sixth at the MWC Championships in the high jump held in Fort Worth, Tex. She bent over the bar at a height of 5' 5", two inches short of her personal best. 2006-07... As a freshman, Jeffries placed second at the outdoor Wyoming Invite in the high jump. She jumped her personal best 5' 7". Johnna was also a member of the UW Golf team as well as the track squad. High School... While at Grand Island H.S. Jeffries lettered in golf, basketball and track all four years. She was honored as the 2005 FCA Athlete of the Year. In the classroom, Johnna was her class' valedictorian. Personal... Johnna was born June 23, in Grand Island, Neb. She has two younger brothers: Jack and Jay.
