Taylor was the cross country team's most consistent performer throughout the year. A three-time letterwinner, he followed up an 11th-place showing at the Wyoming Invitational with a 24th-place finish at the MWC Championships in a time of 25:34. He also was the highest Wyoming finisher at the NCAA Regionals, placing 63rd with a time of 32:23. During the outdoor season, Taylor took the top mark in the 5,000-meter run in 14:53.66. 2008-09... Taylor competed in four of seven meets in 2008 as well as a solid showing at the Wyoming Invitational, where he finished 24th with a time of 23:58. He backed it up with his second-fastest 8k time in his career at the Montana State Invitational in Bozeman, Mont., where he finished 32nd with a time of 26:06. During the indoor track and field season, Taylor ran the sixth-fastest time in UW history in the 5,000-meter run while at the Husky Invite with a time of 14:36.08. 2007-08... A letterman in both cross country and indoor track and field, Taylor made big strides in cross country as he placed 35th in his first-ever MWC Championship. He ran the 8K with a time of 26:51. High School... Taylor was a two-sport athlete in cross country and track. In cross country, he was an All-Conference and All-State selection during his senior year. He was a two-time State Champion in both the mile and the 3,200-meter run. His outdoor track credentials include All-Conference honors in 2006 and 2007, while earning All-State in the 4-by-400 and 4-by-800-meter races in those same seasons. Personal... Taylor was born April 25, in Gillette, Wyo. He is the son of Maureen and Mark Kelting. He plans to become a physical education teacher.
