Sam is a returning two-time All-Conference performer in the 35lb Weight Throw as he finished third in the 35lb Weight Throw in '07 and '08. He was an NCAA Provisional Qualifier in the 35lb Weight Throw in '07 and '08; he missed qualifying for the NCAA Championships by only seven inches last March. Sam is currently ranked ninth all-time UW history in the 35lb Weight Throw, 13th all-time in the Hammer Throw and 20th all-time in the Shot Put indoors.
