2007-08... A letterwinner during the outdoor season for his accomplishments in the high jump at the Mountain West Conference Championships in Fort Worth, Tex. Going into the meet he owned the eighth best jump in the conference and he placed fourth on the championship day. During the indoor season he again owned the eighth best jump in the conference, however, he placed 10th at the conference meet. He set his personal best at the Air Force Invitational with his leap of 6' 4.75" where he placed fifth at the meet. For his accomplishments in the classroom, Tony was named to the Academic All-MWC team and named a Scholar Athlete. High School... Tony was a four-year letterman in track and also played football his sophomore year. He was All-Conference and All-Region as a participant in track and field. Personal... Tony was born Sept. 24th, 1987 in Fort Collins, Colo. Tony is the son of Viola and Tim Michaelis. He is majoring in electrical engineering here at UW.
