01/26/2012 Wyoming Has 40 Student-Athletes Earn Academic All-Mountain West Honors for 2011 Fall Sports11 Cowgirl Volleyball Members Honored 05/16/2009 2009 MWC Outdoor Track and Field Championships - Day FourImages from Day Four of the MWC Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Laramie, May 16 2009-10... Greg had some of Wyoming's highest finishes in events for the season, but struggled with injuries down the stretch and was forced to miss two of the five meets for the year. He started out with eighth- and seventh-place finishes in the first two meets, but didn't run in the Chile Pepper Invite in Fayetteville, Ark. He came back to run at the MWC Championships, finishing 26th with a time of 25:43. But due to injuries, the two-time letterwinner was forced to miss the NCAA Regionals. 2008-09... A letterwinner during the cross country season, Miller competed in five of seven events for the `Pokes as well as finishing 28th at the Mountain West Conference Championships with his time of 25:56. Greg ran his personal best in the 8k race during the Montana State Invitational with his time of 25:26, good for 18th. Academically, Greg was named to the All-MWC team, in addition to his MWC Scholar Athlete award for his hard work in pre-pharmacy. 2007-08... During Greg's first year of competition, he competed in the 3,000-and 5,000-meter runs and the 3,000-meter steeplechase. During the indoor season, Greg finished seventh at the Adidas Classic in Lincoln, Neb., in the 3,000-meter run with a personal-best time of 8:36.84. While competing in the 3,000-meter steeplechase he placed 16th in Palo Alto, Calif., at the Stanford Invite. For Greg's accomplishments in the classroom, he was awarded with a conference Scholar Athlete Award, as well as being named to the Academic All-Conference team. High School... He was a four-time cross country Athlete of the Year, while earning the outdoor track Athlete of the Year in 2006. He was a member of the Canadian Junior National cross country team and the Canadian Junior National NACAC cross country team. He was the national champion in the 2,000-meter steeplechase at the Chase Legion 17 and younger National Track and Field Championships. Miller helped his team to provincial cross country championships in 2005 and 2006 and the outdoor high school track and field provincial championship in 2006. Personal...
