Postseason Begins For Wyoming Track

Mountain West Outdoor Championships start Wednesday

2010-11... Plante recorded one personal best for the season in the weight throw, with a toss of 63 feet, 6 inches. That was good for first place at the Shine Invite. He competed in five meets, finishing in the top 10 in each event in which he competed.

2009-10... Plante finished the 2010 season ranked 14th in the nation in the discus throw and fourth all-time in UW history with a throw of 188 feet, 1 inch. He has been named all-conference three times and brought home two conference honors in the 35-pound weight throw (second), as well as the discus throw (third). He was named All-Conference twice in 2009-10. Plante is also ranked 11th and 17th all-time in UW history in the 35-pound weight and hammer throws, respectively. Plante holds UW freshman records in the discus (179-3) and 35-pound weight throw (58-8 3/4).
