Philemon transferred to the University of Wyoming from Moi University in Kenya and quickly established himself as one the best runners at UW. An All-MWC selection and NCAA Regional qualifier as a junior, Tanui will be looking for repeat honors in the 3000-meter steeplechase as he vyes for conference, region and national honors as a senior. Look for Philemon to be a major contributor to this year's group of talented competitors. In 2005 Tanui was the top runner on the cross country team and placed 14th at the MWC Championships earning him All-MWC Honors.
