Andrea Klimowski

2010-11... Andrea improved steadily as the year progressed, and soon became a dependable mid-distance contributor for the Cowgirls. She ran in four cross country events through the season, including the MW Championships. Her best finish of the cross country season was 77th out of 211 runners at the Woody Greeno Invite. Her performance in that meet helped the Cowgirls to a third-place finish, the team's best of the year. Andrea gained valuable experience, and will only improve with more mileage. She also was a member of the Cowgirl track contingent. Her contributions included finishing ninth in the 1500 at the MWC Outdoor Championships. She also earned Academic All-Conference and Scholar-Athlete honors.

High School... Andrea came to Wyoming from Flagstaff, Ariz., where she was the 1A state champion in the 800-, 1,600-, and 3,200-meter races. She also was the runner-up in the State 1A/2A Cross Country Championships. She was a team captain multiple times, in addition to earning numerous academic honors, including National Honor Society participation and Student Council.

Personal... Andrea was born in Laramie, Wyo. She has two brothers, Chris and Brian. Klimowski plans to study animal science and/or health science and kinesiology.
