Knight will be UW's number one runner during the 2005 cross country season. Brian was Wyoming's top point-scorer in '03 and '04 and should retain that role. He has been UW's top finisher in all but one cross country race for the Pokes the last two years. Last year at the MWC Championships he led the team with a 27th place finish. During the 2005 outdoor track season, Knight placed 11th in the 10,000-meters. In 2003 he set a new personal record in the 8k race posting a time of 26:03 at the MWC Championships, where he placed 20th. Ran the 1,500 meters (4:07.95) and 5,000 meters (15:10.46) during the '04 outdoor season. In '03 on the track Knight posted the best Poke time in the 5,000 meters clocking in at 14:32.83.
