2007-08... Masai was the top finisher for the Oklahoma State Cowgirls at the Hurricane Cross Country Festival, finishing the two-mile run in 13th with a time of 12:37.

High School... Masai was a late bloomer in the running world, as she didn't pick up the sport until 2005.

Personal... Irene was born May 20th, 1985 in Eldoret, Kenya. She is the daughter of Ignatius and Dorcas Masai and has seven brothers and sisters. Irene enjoys soccer; traveling and hopes to one day become a nurse back home. One of her goals this season is to run under 2:10 in the 800-meter race.
