Kirsten McKen

2010-11... McKen didn't participate in any cross country events, but was a valuable piece of the Cowgirl track teams this season. She finished off her first season of collegiate competition with four top-four finishes during the outdoor season. She was first in the 800-meter run at the Fum McGraw Invite, and was second in the Potts Invite in the same event. She also finished 14th in the 800-meter run at the MWC Outdoor Championships with a career-best time of 2:17.95.

High School... McKen made her mark in cross country and track while at Star Valley High School. She was a four-year letterman in both sports, and an all-conference and all-state selection in track. Her team also won regionals in cross country.

Personal... McKen was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Bryant and Pam McKen. She has four siblings: Dustin, Andrew, Chad and Sara. She plans to study elementary education while at UW.
