Emerald Reid Class: Senior Hometown: Cheyenne, Wyo. High School: Central Height: 5-9 Events: Cross Country/Distance

Reid is a talented distance runner who will look to play a leadership role this year for the Cowgirls. She is coming off a very good outdoor track season where she scored team points in the 10,000-meters at the MWC Championships. Was one of the top five finishers for UW in three races during the '04 XC season. At the '04 MWC Cross-Country Championships she placed 31st with a time of 23:50. She has been named to the MWC Scholar Athlete team every year at UW.

Emerald competed in 2003 for the Cowgirl cross country team and in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters for UW during the track season. Ran the 5,000 meters (17:20.15) and 10,000 meters (38:16.59) during the '04 outdoor season. Placed 51st (25:39) at the 2003 MWC XC Championships.
