2005-06: Jarrod Boswell is entering his third season as a member of the Cowboy Basketball program. He is hoping this season will be his first complete campaign for the Pokes after missing half his redshirt freshman season and all of his true freshman season. A skilled big man, Boswell enters this season in the best shape of his college career. If healthy, he could be a contributor for the Cowboys this season.

2004-05: Boswell scored his first career points as a Cowboy with four points vs. Indiana-Purdue at Fort Wayne on Jan. 10, 2005. He also had three rebounds against IPFW. He played in a total of three games during his redshirt freshman season. He was not academically eligible to begin the season, but did earn his eligibility at the conclusion of the 2004 fall semester.

2003-04: Boswell came to Wyoming from El Capitan High School in Lakeside, Calif. When he arrived at Wyoming in the fall of 2003, he impressed the Cowboy coaching staff so much that they were planning on utilizing the freshman his first season, rather than redshirt him. But he then tore cartilage in his left knee in fall drills that required surgery. There was no ligament damage to the knee, but the surgery to repair the cartilage was significant enough that Boswell redshirted his freshman season.

High School/Personal: Boswell's senior season, he led East San Diego County in scoring, 23.3 points per game; rebounding, 13.0 rebounds per game; and blocked shots, with 73 total blocks. He was named the East San Diego County Player of the Year for the second consecutive season, and he was selected to the San Diego Union's All-San Diego Section Third Team.

He averaged 20.5 points, 12.3 rebounds and 5.2 blocked shots during his junior season, while shooting 63.7 percent from the field, making 246 of 386 field-goal attempts. Boswell earned All-East County Player of the Year honors as a junior. He also was named Second Team All-CIF by the San Diego Union-Tribune. Boswell set a Grossmont North League record for blocked shots, with 141 blocks during the 2001-02 season. He broke the single-season record of 98 blocked shots by former Helix High School standout and UCLA All-American Bill Walton.

For his career, Boswell set a new San Diego County all-time record for blocked shots with 297. For his career, he averaged 17.0 points, 10.8 rebounds and hit 56.5 percent of his field goals (594 of 1051).

Boswell was rated among the Top 10 high school centers in the West by several scouting services. Rivals.com listed him as a "Three Star" recruit. Van Coleman's Recruiting Service ranked him among the Top 100 players in the country -- at No. 78. His high school coach was Ross Furrow.

Born July 22, 1985, Boswell is the son of Nennoa and Jeff Boswell. He selected Wyoming over Colorado State, Pepperdine, San Diego State, UCLA and USC. Boswell is majoring in social science.
