2007-08: Travis Bunker joined the Wyoming Basketball program in the summer of 2007 as a walkon from the College of Southern Idaho. Bunker is an outstanding outside shooter, who will provide the Cowboys an experienced wing player who can help stretch opposing defenses.

2006-07: Bunker played the 2006-07 season at the College of Southern Idaho where he was a team captain on a team that posted a 30-7 overall record and advanced to the National Semifinals of the National Junior College Athletic Association Tournament. Bunker played in 18 games, but missed time with a stress fracture in his right foot. He averaged 6.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game in the 18 games he appeared during the season. He played for head coach Barret Peery and assistant coach Steve Gosar at the College of Southern Idaho. Gosar is a former University of Wyoming Basketball letterman from 1991-93.

2005-06: As a freshman at Dixie State College, Bunker averaged 9.4 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game as Dixie College posted a 21-12 record and captured its Region Championship.

High School/Personal: Bunker attended Beaver High School in Beaver, Utah, where he led them to a 22-3 record and the 2A State Championship his senior year. He was named the Utah 2A Player of the Year as a senior. He averaged 16.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game his senior season. His high school basketball coach was Calvin Albrecht. Bunker was a National Honor Society member in high school. He also lettered in baseball, cross country and track and field in high school.

Born Feb. 20, 1984, he is the son of Nedva and Jay Bunker. Coming out of junior college, he was also recruited by BYU, Cal Poly, Colorado State, San Diego State and Utah. His brother Scott played volleyball at BYU from 1999-2002. Another brother, Derek, played baseball at Snow College (2001-02) and later at Southern Utah University (2003-06). His father Jay played basketball at BYU from 1969-72. Bunker is majoring in social science at UW.
