2011-12: The second Colorado native in his signing class, Tyrone Marshall has tomorrow written all over him in terms of his basketball potential. His large frame and projected growth could allow him to be a very versatile forward for the Cowboys. He has good quickness and leaping ability, which will combine with a strong work ethic to make him a high-level player. Marshall could redshirt his first season in the UW program.

Before Wyoming: Marshall averaged 15 points, nine rebounds and six blocked shots per game during the 2010-11 season at George Washington High School. He was named Honorable Mention All-State Class 5A by The Denver Post his senior season, and was named First Team All-Conference in the Denver Prep League. Marshall helped lead G.W. to an 18-7 overall record, a 6-2 conference mark and the Sweet 16 of the state playoffs during the season. He recorded three triple-doubles his senior season in points, rebounds and blocked shots.

His head coach, Michael Rogers, described Marshall as being an integral part of G.W.'s team that finished as the runner-up for the 2009 5A State Championship in Marshall's sophomore season. George Washington narrowly lost that 2009 state championship game, falling in overtime by a score of 67-63 to Regis Jesuit.

Personal: Marshall was born on Oct. 26, 1992 in Denver, Colo. He is the son of Tyrone Sr. and Dannie Marshall and has five siblings. He is majoring in architectural engineering. He was also recruited by Tulsa, Pepperdine, Portland and Tennessee-Martin.
