Dwayne Paul is in his second season as a member of the Wyoming Cowboy basketball staff. Paul serves as a graduate assistant manager for the Cowboys, where he assists the coaching staff with numerous aspects of the program. His duties range from film exchange to practice preparation. Along with his duties for the Cowboy basketball team, Paul is currently pursuing a master's degree in education.

Paul enjoyed a long, successful basketball playing career that culminated with playing professional ball for the East Kentucky Miners of the CBA.

Paul began his college basketball career at Eastfield College in Mesquite, Texas. In his time at Eastfield, he led the Harvesters to a #1 national junior college ranking while averaging 21.0 points and 8.2 rebounds a game during his second year. He was a Junior College All-American, as well an all-conference and all-region performer.

After two years at Eastfield, Paul transferred to Birmingham Southern where he spent the 2005-06 season. At BSU, he averaged 11.1 points and 5.7 rebounds a game. He recorded three double-doubles on the season and scored in double-figures 16 times, including a pair of 20-point games.

Paul spent his senior season (2006-07) at Murray State University where he played in 29 games. There, he scored 4.3 points and pulled down 3.5 rebounds a game. He earned his bachelor's degree in business advertising, along with a minor in business administration from Murray State.

Paul was born in Port Arthur, Texas but moved to Arlington, Texas when he was six and was raised there. He attended Arlington Bowie High School, where he was a three-year starter, a District MVP, a Third Team All-State selection and a First Team All-Region pick in basketball.
