Cowboys Tipped By Texas Tech, 90-84

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - Andre Emmett scored 27 points and Kasib Powell added 17 and seven assists as Texas Tech defeated Wyoming 90-84 on Tuesday.
The win extends Tech's win streak to eight heading into Big 12 Conference play against Kansas State on Sunday.
Tech (11-1) managed to hang on after nearly squandering an 18-point halftime lead. Wyoming's defense toughened and the Red Raiders' shooting turned cold during a 17-4 Cowboys run early in the second half. Wyoming (9-4) pulled within four inside the final minute.
Tech, however, made 6-of-8 free throws in the final 30 seconds to hold off the Cowboys.
Wyoming's run-and-gun offense heated up early in the second half, narrowing the gap to 13 at 62-49 after just 6 minutes.
Will Chavis scored 16 points and Andy Ellis added 10 for Texas Tech.
Donta Richardson scored 20 points and Marcus Bailey added 17 and had 11 rebounds for the Cowboys.
Tech's biggest lead came in the first half with the Red Raiders went ahead
by 21. They led 52-34 at halftime.
