LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Uche Nsonwu-Amadi scored a career-high 21 points as Wyoming overcame an 18-point deficit to beat rival Brigham Young 85-78 on Monday.

The Cowboys (12-4, 3-1 Mountain West) trailed 42-24 as the second half waned. They lagged 48-34 at intermission and 59-45 with 13:47 left in the game.

In the last 11 minutes, however, Wyoming outscored BYU (13-6, 2-2 Mountain West) 35-11.

A fast-break layup by junior guard Chris McMillian tied the game at 69 with 5:38 on the clock. McMillian then widened the Cowboys' lead to 79-75 with a 3-pointer a few minutes later.

Wyoming sealed the win by outscoring the Cougars 9-3 in the last two minutes.

While BYU shot 50 percent from the field the first half, it shot just 34.6 percent in the second. Wyoming began at 43.3 percent but revived to 60 percent in the second half.

Both teams had 35 rebounds.

Behind Nsonwu-Amadi, senior guard Brett McFall and junior forward Josh Davis added 18 points each for Wyoming. Davis also had 15 rebounds. McMillian finished with 10 points, all of them in the second half.

For the Cougars, senior forward Mikeli Wesley scored 27 points. Junior forward Eric Nielsen contributed 12 points and senior guard Terrell Lyday had 11.

It was the 150th meeting of the rival teams. BYU leads the series 84-66, but the Cowboys lead in Laramie 51-25.
