PROVO, Utah (AP) - Travis Hansen and Mark Bigelow scored 19 points each to lead BYU to an 85-70 win over Wyoming Saturday.

BYU (13-6, 3-3) snapped a three-game losing streak and handed Wyoming (14-5, 5-1) its first Mountain West Conference loss of the season. The Cougars shot 59 percent from the field against the Cowboys, who came in No. 1 in the conference in field goal defense, allowing only 40 percent shooting.

Wyoming trailed by 12 at the half, but scored two quick baskets to get within 8 points. However, BYU scored nine of the next 11 points to increase its lead to 54-39 with 16:54 to play. Hansen scored seven of the Cougars' nine points during the run.

Wyoming got as close as 11 points three minutes later, but BYU used a 15-7 run to open up its biggest lead, 73-54 with 8:06 left in the game. Bigelow had two 3-pointers and 8 points in that span to spark the run.

Donta Richardson and Ronell Mingo scored 14 points each to lead Wyoming. BYU held Josh Davis to 7 points, five below his average. The Cowboys had won five straight and 9 of their last 10.

Bigelow, BYU's leading scorer at 15.8 points per game, broke out of a shooting slump. He had averaged only 8 points per game and 33 percent shooting in the Cougars' last three games. Saturday he shot 67 percent and hit 3-of-6 from behind the 3-point line.

Matt Montague tied a career high with 15 assists for BYU.

Hansen pulled down nine rebounds to lead BYU, which was out rebounded only 29-27. The Cowboys were No. 1 in the nation coming into Saturday's game in rebound margin, averaging 10.3 more boards per game than their opponents.
