LARAMIE, Wyo. -

Junior guard Chris McMillian scored a team-high 18 points Tuesday night leading the Wyoming Cowboys to a 102-80 exhibition victory over the California East All-Stars.

A crowd of 5,695 at the Arena-Auditorium witnessed newcomer Uche Nsonwu-Amadi record his first double-double of the season with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Ugo Udezue showed signs of his old self by chipping in 13 points to go along with his five boards.

"We still need to learn to play together, but I believe as we do get comfortable together we'll just get better and better." said Wyoming head coach Steve McClain. "I told the kids that if we didn't have some things to work on, I would be disappointed. We know that we can get a lot better."

Sophomore Marcus Bailey and junior Scottie Vines also scored in double-figures for the Pokes, scoring 15 and 12 points respectively. Junior Ronell Mingo came off the bench to grab 10 rebounds.

"We have a lot of interchangeable parts, and that is what you want when you're trying to build a successful program. We now have enough talented players that a guy can have an off night, and you really don't notice it that much." McClain said.

The California East All-Stars were led by Kirk King who scored a game-high 26 points.

Wyoming begins its regular season schedule Saturday, Nov. 18, when it hosts Cal-State Riverside. Game time will be at 7:07 p.m. at the Double A.
