LARAMIE, Wyo. - Josh Davis sank 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to drive Wyoming past Division II Alaska-Anchorage 85-67 on Saturday.

The Seawolves (1-7) came within 68-62 but lost momentum as three of their players, including top scorer Shane Bannarbie, fouled out over the last 5 minutes.

The Cowboys (8-3) outshot Alaska-Anchorage 43 percent to 35 percent but made just 1-of-13 from outside the arc.

Uche Nsonwu-Amadi contributed 17 points for Wyoming, followed by Marcus Bailey with 13 and Donta Richardson with 10.

For Alaska-Anchorage, Bannarbie had 13 points, followed by 10 from G.J. Macon and nine by Peter Bullock.

Anchorage kept even with Wyoming for the first part of the first period, tying the game at 24 on a 3-pointer by Bannarbie. The Cowboys warmed up and led 38-28 at the intermission.
