SportsWest to Televise Wyoming at Colorado State: The Wyoming Cowboys vs. Colorado State Rams game on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001, will be televised live by SportsWest TV beginning at 7:00 p.m., Mountain time.

Dave McCann will describe the play-by-play action. He will be joined by former NBA All-Star Rick Barry, who will add color analysis.

In the state of Wyoming, KGWN-TV Channel 5 in Cheyenne, Wyo., will carry the game live.

Cowboys 9-4 Record Matches Best Start in McClain Era: Wyoming's 9-4 record matches the best start by a Steve McClain team at Wyoming. In McClain's first season (1998-99), Wyoming started out 9-4. Last season (1999-2000), the Cowboys were 9-4 through 13 games.

McClain's '98-'99 squad went on to lose its 14th game of the season to go to 10-4. A year ago, Wyoming also won its 14th game to improve to 10-4 through 14 games.

Notes From This Week in Cowboy Basketball:
*Wyoming's 71-83 loss to Utah on Jan. 8, 2001, marked the second consecutive time this season that Wyoming shot better from the field than their opponent and lost. Wyoming shot 42.2 percent against Utah, while the Utes hit 41.0 percent. UW shot 39.7 percent versus LSU on Jan. 3, while the Tigers hit on 38.1 percent of its shots.
*The Utah game also marked the second consecutive game that Wyoming had more assists than their opponent, 18 to 10, and lost. Versus LSU on Jan. 3, UW also had more assists than its opponent and lost -- Wyoming had 15 assists to LSU's 13.
*Wyoming had not allowed an opponent to score over 80 points this season until Monday at Utah when the Utes scored 83. The previous opponent high against UW this season was 78 points, scored by South Carolina in a 67-78 Wyoming loss on Dec. 21.
*A balanced attack has been a key to Wyoming's success thus far this season. For the season, Wyoming has had nine different individuals on its 11-man roster score in double figures in at least one game.
*David Rottinghaus made his first career start this past Monday in the Utah game. Rottinghaus tied career highs with six rebounds and three assists vs. the Utes. He also played a career high 20 minutes in the Utah game.
*Paris Corner handed out a career high five assists against Utah on Monday, Jan. 8, 2001.
*With 2 of 2 free throws against Utah, Brett McFall continued to be perfect from the free-throw line for the 2000-01 season. He is now 14 of 14 for the year.
