Front Range Rivals Wyoming and Air Force Will Meet for the 78th Time This Saturday: The series dates back to Jan. 25, 1958, and for every season since -- 44 consecutive seasons -- the Wyoming Cowboys and Air Force Falcons have played each other in basketball.

Wyoming leads the overall series 58-19. In contests played in Laramie, UW holds a 31-8 lead. The last time Air Force won in Laramie was Jan. 21, 1989, winning by a score of 58-55. The Pokes have won the last 12 straight at home.

Cowboys and Lobos to be Featured on ESPN Big Monday: The Wyoming Cowboys and New Mexico Lobos will be featured on ESPN Big Monday, Monday, Feb. 26 at 10 p.m., Mountain time.

Bob Carpenter will describe the play-by-play action. He will be joined by Jimmy Dykes, who will add color analysis.

The Cowboys defeated the Lobos earlier this season in "The Pit" in Albuquerque, N.M., by a score of 82-78 on Monday, Jan. 29.

Bringing Down the House -- Record Crowd 15,456 Cheers Pokes to Victory Over CSU: In a season of great crowds, it was only fitting that the 2000-01 season would see a single-game record crowd in the Arena-Auditorium. On Saturday, Feb. 10, a crowd of 15,456 cheered the Wyoming Cowboys to a 72-70 victory over archrival Colorado State.

The previous record crowd for the Double A was 15,218 versus Brigham Young on Jan. 21, 1995.

The crowd of 15,456 was the fourth crowd of the season over 10,000 in the Arena-Auditorium. UW has not had four crowds over 10,000 in the same season since the 1990-91 campaign saw five crowds over 10,000. Wyoming has two home dates remaining for the '00-'01 season -- versus Air Force on Saturday, Feb. 24 and versus New Mexico on Monday, Feb. 26.

The attendance this season is made even more amazing when you consider the total enrollment of the University of Wyoming is 11,057 and the population of Laramie is approximately 27,000.
