Cowboy Basketball Featured on FoxSports.com

LARAMIE, Wyo. - With the 2008-09 basketball season quickly approaching, the Cowboys recently received some national media attention as they were featured on FoxSports.com. Jeff Goodman, a senior college basketball writer for FoxSports.com, discussed the 2008-09 Cowboys in an article earlier this week. Goodman emphasized UW head coach Heath Schroyer's ability to rebuild basketball programs and said that he believes Schroyer will do exactly that at Wyoming. Goodman also said that "I'll put their backcourt of Brandon Ewing and Sean Ogirri up against almost anyone in the league (Mountain West Conference)". The Cowboys will open the 2008-09 season on Sat., Nov. 8 with a home exhibition game against the Colorado School of Mines. They will open the regular season on Fri., Nov. 14 as they host Cal State Bakersfield.
