in the three-year Steve McClain era. In McClain's first two seasons,
Wyoming started out 5-2 each season.

The '97-'98 Cowboys lost their eighth game to go 6-2.
Wyoming has a chance to post a 7-1 start this Tuesday when they face
Delaware State. The last time a Wyoming team began a season 7-1 was the
1990-91 season. Reginald Slater and Tim Breaux were juniors on the '90-'91
squad, and the head coach was Benny Dees.
Josh Davis Off to Excellent Start for the Cowboys, Keys Victory Over Oregon
State: Junior forward Josh Davis is off to a strong start in the 2000-01

points, 15 rebounds), Cal State Fullerton (18 points, 12 rebounds) and

holds a 15-1 (.938) record vs. non-conference opponents at home under coach
McClain.

Steve McClain era.

consecutive games together, dating back to Dec. 4, 1999, against Nevada.
