High School: Bogard earned First Team All-KingCo Conference honors as both an offensive center and defensive lineman his senior season at Inglemoor High School in Kenmore, Wash. Inglemoor posted a 5-4 record in 2009. In addition to being a standout two-way football player, he was also one of the top wrestlers in the state of Washington, being ranked No. 3 in the state in all classifications at the 285-pound division. His junior year of high school, he won the Washington Greco-Roman State Wrestling Championship, and placed second in state in Freestyle. Bogard was a National Team qualifier in wrestling in both 2008 and 2009. He played for head football coach Frank Naish. Personal: One of three children of Christy and Mitch Bogard, he was also recruited by Oregon State and Washington. His grandfather, James Bogard, played football at Oklahoma. He is majoring in accounting. |
