Scott Criss earned Class A All-State honors as a defensive lineman at Creighton Prep in 2008. Criss was a team captain his senior season, and helped lead Creighton Prep to an 11-1 record and the semifinals of the Nebraska State Playoffs. In addition to playing defensive tackle both his junior and senior seasons, he also played offensive guard and tackle as a senior. On defense, he was credited with 37 tackles in 2008. In addition to his 37 tackles, he had 3.0 sacks and intercepted one pass. As a junior, he earned Honorable Mention All-Metro honors as Creighton Prep advanced to the quarterfinals of the State Playoffs. Over his two seasons as a starter, Creighton Prep posted an 18-5 (.783) record. A three-sport athlete in high school, he also competed in basketball and track and field, throwing the shot put and discus. His high school football coach was Tom Jaworski.

Personal: Born Dec. 28, 1990, he is the son of Sue and Steve Criss, he comes from a very athletic family. His dad played basketball at the University of Nebraska-Omaha and his mother played volleyball, also at Nebraska-Omaha. All three of his older sisters, Michelle and twins Colleen and Karen, swam at the University of Nebraska. He was also recruited by Iowa, Nebraska and Ohio. Criss plans to study business at Wyoming.
