2007: Edmunds competed in all 12 games and made nine tackles -- four solos and five assists. He earned Academic All-Conference honors for the second consecutive year.

2006: Edmunds began the 2006 season on the depth chart at the strongside (outside) linebacking position behind senior Austin Hall. But during the season, Edmunds was moved to the inside (middle-linebacker) position. He played in the first seven games of the `06 season before tearing the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee versus Utah in game seven. That forced him to miss the remainder of his sophomore campaign. Edmunds achieved Academic All-Conference honors for the first time in his career.

2005: He saw his first game action in the `05 season, appearing in three games. Edmunds earned his first varsity letter. He was credited with one tackle in the three games he appeared in as a redshirt freshman.

2004: Redshirted. He joined the Cowboy squad as a walkon in the fall of `04.

High School: A four-year letterwinner at Southeast High School in Yoder, Wyo., he lists Meriden, Wyo., as his hometown. Edmunds started 39 of 40 football games during his high school career. He was named All-State and All-Conference in football his sophomore, junior and senior seasons. As a senior, he was selected to the Casper Star-Tribune Super 25 team. Edmunds made 88 tackles his senior year, forced one fumble and recovered one fumble. He also gained 1,118 yards rushing on 117 carries for a 9.6 yard-per-carry average as a senior. For his career, Edmunds rushed for 2,527 yards on 381 carries for a 6.6 yard-per-carry average. Southeast High School posted a record of 31-9 (.775) during the four years Edmunds started. Edmunds achieved All-State honors in track and field his senior year, and was three times named an All-Conference performer in basketball. In addition to his list of athletic accomplishments, he was valedictorian of his high school class, was a four-time Academic All-Conference honoree and was a member of the National Honor Society his final three years of high school. He played for head football coach Mark Bullington at Southeast High School.
